Money should be understandable before it becomes actionable.
MyFriendAlex is an independent financial-education and decision-tool project built around one idea: show the numbers, explain the trade-offs, link the source, and let people change the assumptions themselves.
Why Alex?
Alex has a JD and MBA and has spent more than 15 years around markets, financial technology, investing and real estate. MFA is where that experience gets translated into tools and explanations designed for normal financial decisions rather than industry jargon.
The goal is not to tell people what to buy, which bank to use, or what financial action they must take. It is to make the math and the relevant rules easier to see so users can ask better questions and make more informed decisions.
MyFriendAlex is an independent educational project. Nothing on the site represents or is endorsed by any financial institution, bank, card issuer, law firm, investment adviser or other third party unless a relationship is clearly disclosed.
Source before claim
Official sources are preferred for tax rules, economic data, rates and product terms. Verification dates are part of the information.
Model, don't promise
Calculator outputs are estimates under entered assumptions. MFA avoids turning a modeled opportunity into a claim that someone will definitely save or earn that amount.
Privacy by restraint
My MFA is designed around user-entered financial assumptions, not bank passwords, account numbers or Social Security numbers.
Explain the limitation
If a nationwide model omits a local rule, credit, deduction or product detail, MFA should say so instead of implying false precision.
What MFA is
Educational decision infrastructure.
Change salary, rates, balances, timelines and other assumptions and watch the modeled result move.
MFA is not individualized financial, investment, tax, legal, banking or insurance advice.
Make the money — and cards — you already have work harder.
One useful MFA email a week: smarter card tracking, source-aware updates, and the calculators or deals worth checking.
Planned cadence: a short welcome series, then usually one useful MFA email each week. Unsubscribe anytime. Privacy policy.
